Online Training

Health & Safety Professionals Inc. offers WHMIS online

In our course, we have tried to duplicate the classroom as much as possible. It is a PowerPoint presentation, with audio. The audio is what an instructor would say in the course, and not simply a review of the words on the slide. We have a male and female voice to keep the learner interested. The notes to the slide are available for the learner as well. We designed it for auditory and visual learners, as well as those who wish to read along. It takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete, although the learner can stop and restart if he or she gets interrupted.

One person from the company purchases the required number of “keys”. Once we receive payment, or a po number, we send you the numbers. You may also purchase the keys directly online through our website at www.hspinc.ca. Your contact person distributes the numbers. Each person logs on with their personal key and completes the test.

The keys never expire.

At the end of the test, the student can print out a certificate and a wallet card. We suggest that they give a copy of the certificate to their employer for their records.

One of the great features of this course is the quizzes along the way. The learner is able to practice what they learn, and then at the end, they get a final test. The test comes from our test bank, so the test will not be a repeat of the questions they practiced on. Our success rate is 98% and we set the pass mark on the final test at 80%. For those few people that do not achieve 80%, an email automatically goes out to a trained WHMIS facilitator, who reviews the test with the individual. Upon review, the test is reset and the learner gets to take the test again. The facilitator only communicates with the employee. No information is shared with the employer.

The response from people who have taken our online WHMIS course has been excellent. If you like, I would be happy to release one key to you, free of charge, so that you or someone from your JHSC can test the course.
