Canada Summer Job: Sales, Marketing, and Strategy

Are you ready to work for a small business where you can develop a sales and marketing strategy from scratch? We need an energetic, innovative, and dedicated individual to assist Health & Safety Professionals Inc. with its sales and marketing strategy. Leave your mark on our business. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain website, email list, certificate management system, and customer relationship management (CRM)system; 
  • Research, track, and highlight lead opportunities and pipelines within CRM; 
  • Create and manage deals; 
  • Research, write, and post on social media; 
  • Attend at trade shows, if the opportunity arises;
  • Participate in and support training delivery;
  • Update occupational health and safety training manuals, under the direction of the President; and
  • Actively contribute to and participate in a positive, professional and friendly work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Upper-year student or graduate with diploma/degree in business, marketing, or social media
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent understanding of Customer Relationship Management systems, social media, marketing strategies for small business
  • Specialization or experience in marketing is an asset
  • Experience or studies in occupational health and safety is an asset


  • Age 15 to 30 years
  • Able to work in Canada

Eight weeks beginning on or about May 13, 2019, 35 hours/week

Wage - $15 per hour

WHMIS 2015

Are you ready? Beginning in February of 2015, suppliers began changing their labels and safety data sheets over to the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) standards. By the end of 2018, there should be no hazardous products in your workplace with WHMIS 1988 labels or material safety data sheets. HSPI has developed a new program for workers and it launched on October 17, 2017. Click here to register. We are also available to do in-house training and can make it specific to your workplace.

Health & Safety Professionals Inc. is an approved provider of Part I and Part II Basic Certification. That makes us the only Chief Prevention Officer approved private provider in Sault Ste. Marie, and the most northern private provider as well.

Louise Caicco Tett is pleased to be a part of a research team led by Dr. Joan Almost, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, Queen's University, studying Leading Indicators for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in Healthcare. This research is funded by the Ministry of Labour and co-sponsored by the Public Services Health & Safety Association, Health & Safety Professionals Inc., and The Ottawa Hospital.
