JHSC Part One Certification in Ontario
Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Part One Certification is the first step towards becoming a certified workplace JHSC member. JHSC Part One training caters to all workplaces, regardless of sector. If your workplace regularly employs 20 or more individuals, it must have at least two certified committee members – one from management and one chosen by workers or the union.
JHSC Part One is offered as a three day course in two online formats; Self-paced eLearning and Instructor-led Online Distance Learning.
You must complete JHSC Part Two certification within 12 months of completing Part One.
JHSC Part Two Certification in Ontario
Health & Safety Professionals Inc. (HSPI) offers JHSC Part Two training in a unique format to support diverse sectors. The duration of the course is two or three days; however, you are required to complete only two days to get your JHSC certificate. You can choose from three options:

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development in Ontario requires you to learn only six hazards that are relevant to your workplace. HSPI offers nine hazards to be able to serve multiple sectors.

What is the JHSC Refresher Training Course?
You are required to complete a JHSC Refresher course within three years of becoming a certified member and every three years thereafter. HSPI and MLITSD (Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development of Ontario) will send you a reminder to complete a JHSC Refresher before your certification expires.
