Health and Safety Supervisor Training

This two-day interactive course assists supervisors and employers in meeting their legal obligation of appointing "competent persons" as supervisors in Ontario. Learn how to manage stressful and sometimes tense situations in your workplace. Transporting Dangerous Goods (TDG)

Learn about key definitions, dangerous goods classifications, exemptions, shipping documents, safety marks, and packaging. Learners will discuss exemptions and how to report an accidental release. After the course, your employer must provide site-specific training in the proper handling, transportation, and offer for transport, of dangerous goods with which you work or come into contact.

This course is based on the CSA-Z1002:21 standard. Topics covered include incident investigation policies and programs, pre-planning, reporting requirements, choosing the team, conducting investigations, writing the report, and follow up. The participants will focus on contributing and underlying factors of incidents, a systems approach. Theory is applied to a case study.
