Overview

There is legislation in place that requires employers to complete violence risk assessments, write policies, put programs in place, train workers, and investigate complaints. This is true of provincial (OHSA) as well as federal legislation (Canada Labour Code).

In this full-day course, participants will review violence and harassment assessments, the provincial Code of Practice, and discuss domestic violence as it pertains to workplaces. Participants will review legislated definitions and take away best practices related to both jurisdictions. In the afternoon of the presentation, participants will learn how to investigate harassment allegations. The class is offered virtually, in real time, and promises to be interactive and interesting.
